Report: Young Everton duo eyed for loan moves
Everton fans have been expecting fervent transfer activity since Carlo Ancelotti was appointed as manager last month, but it’s all been rather low-key thus far.
In fact, we could be set for some more outgoings before we ever get a new arrival at Goodison Park.
Unfortunately for fans hoping for a first team exodus after Sunday’s humbling against Liverpool, it’ll likely be young players heading for the Toffees exit door.
The Liverpool Echo reported on Wednesday that starlets Beni Baningime and Morgan Feeney are being eyed for loan moves away from the club this month.
The duo have both had injury problems recently, but are back fit and are looking to play well enough to secure temporary spells away from Merseyside.
Baningime had a stint at Wigan Athletic last season but saw it effectively ruined by injury. Feeney, meanwhile, is looking for a loan before his contract expires at the end of the season.
Goodison News’ View
You wonder whether Feeney is going to be on his way out at the end of the season, so if he’s granted a loan move that may be it for him in Everton blue.
Baningime, however, is a quality prospect who has been highly regarded at Goodison for quite some time now.
It obviously didn’t work out with the Latics due to injury last term, but if they can get him to a decent Championship or upper-League One team then he should do well.
In other Everton news, Ancelotti must surely be attempting to offload a hapless midfielder after his performance on Sunday.
