‘Unbelievable’ – These Everton fans rave over club update on injured star
One of the most disappointing moments of this season – and certainly one of the most distressing – was the injury suffered by Everton midfielder Andre Gomes.
The Portugal international went down under a horror tackle from Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min in November, dislocating his ankle and seemingly sent bouncing from first team action for the remainder of the campaign.
However, it now appears that the 26-year-old could be back playing sooner than anticipated, certainly if the club’s latest reveal is anything to go by.
The Toffees’ official Twitter account shared a series of photos on Thursday showing Gomes back working out at Finch Farm.
The midfielder could be seen jumping and lifting weights, as he gets to work on his recovery from the setback.
The photographs have reinvigorated the Blues’ fanbase, with one fan describing Gomes’ recovery as ‘unbelievable’.
