Vinnie Jones reacts to late Everton win v Watford

The late victory that Everton somehow secured over Watford on Saturday afternoon was one that took most prognosticators by surprise.

The hosts roared into a two-goal lead at Vicarage Road thanks to goals from Adam Masina and Roberto Pereyra.

However, two shock strikes late in the first half from Toffees defender Yerry Mina – of all people – got the visitors back into it.

And then, with 10 men after Fabian Delph’s sending off, Carlo Ancelotti’s side improbably stole all three points courtesy of Theo Walcott’s late winner.

It quietened the stadium and had the away fans in raptures. It really was a remarkable result.

It was a finish that certainly shocked infamous former Premier League player turned actor Vinnie Jones, that’s for sure.

Oh my lord! I can’t believe @WatfordFC lost this! Had to leave to go film @bignarstieshow. Everton got the winner … disaster after being 2-0 up #WatfordFC #Premier_League #football,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.

How crazy was this result?

It was a bizarre game in Hertfordshire, there’s no doubt about that. You can see why Jones was left so shocked.

Watford did seem to be cruising at one stage, because the Toffees started the game absolutely horribly.

Ancelotti’s men showed fantastic character to get themselves back into the game, and then a lethal touch just when it was required. All credit to them.

In other Everton news, Ancelotti has a big problem with one underperforming Toffees regular.
