Agent of Everton target admits his client wants to leave

It would appear from what you read in the foreign press that Everton have already begun transfer preparations for the summer.

The Toffees continually get linked with players left and right – with most of them heralding from manager Carlo Ancelotti’s native Italy.

However, the latest transfer story to hit Goodison Park has actually come from Turkey, and one of the country’s leading clubs.

Fanatik reported earlier this week that the Blues are one of the teams interested in signing Fenerbahce utility man Ozan Tufan.

Now, the player’s agent, Utku Cenikli, has commented on his client’s future and rumours of a £16million release clause.

“Ozan has always wanted to play in Europe. He returned to Fenerbahce and felt he had a debt to pay,” he said, as per Turkish Football.

“He wants to leave the club as a player who made Fenerbahce a return. And he does have a €20m release clause which will be his way of giving back.”

Could a move to Goodison be on the cards?

Quite possibly, yes. The Toffees are thought to be interested in Tufan, and he seemingly wants to leave Fenerbahce as well.

That would appear to fit together pretty nicely, but it all depends on whether Everton’s interest is genuine.

We all know that reports from Turkey are not always 100% accurate, and so we’ll have to wait and see what happens here.

But Tufan is a quality player who can operate across a number of different positions, while he wouldn’t cost the world either.
