Report – Everton keen on raid for 22y/o Serie A dazzler with European experience

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is keen to add Roma forward Cengiz Under to his squad this summer, according to Gazzetta Di Parma

The Italian outlet states that the Serie A side are willing to offload the 22-year-old this summer, and that the Toffees are interested in snapping him up.

The Turk generally operates in a wide right berth for Roma, but is predominantly left-footed.

It is understood that Ancelotti is trying to build a squad capable of challenging for European football next season, and views Under as a player who has valuable experience at that level.

The wide man has three Europa League appearances to his name for his current employers this season.

Would Under be a good signing for the Toffees?

On the face of it, he seems like the kind of player that Carlo Ancelotti would look to snap up this coming summer.

With his European experience and tricky playing style, he could prove to be a real asset for the Blues.

Now seems like a good time to make a move for him too.

So far this term, Under has registered an xG rating of 0.33, as per Wyscout, a figure 0.11 higher than his career average.

He has also managed 7.17 successful dribbles compared to his usual 5.92, and a higher pass completion rate too.

At 22, he still has plenty of time to develop, and if the price was right then this could prove to be a fantastic piece of business from Ancelotti, should it go ahead.
