Everton handed provisional fixture list, Liverpool clash set for freeview channel – report
Everton have been handed a provisional fixture list for the Premier League once it restarts in nearly two weeks, according to the Irish Times.
The Toffees along with the 19 other top-flight clubs have received a list of the first three matchdays of Project Restart.
It’s a mouthwatering tie up first for Carlo Ancelotti’s men, who will entertain Liverpool at Goodison Park on the Sunday (21st).
According to the report, the Merseyside derby has already been selected to kick off at 7 pm that evening.
It is suggested that Sky are planning to show the clash live on their Freeview channel, with the remaining games this season obviously behind-closed-doors.
There are still hopes that the game can be played at Goodison Park despite fears of fans closing in around the stadium.
Merseyside Police have confirmed that they have the capacity to help stage the game at the stadium as hoped – a big boost for the Toffees.
It is then suggested that Everton will travel to Norwich on Wednesday 24th June, followed by a game against Leicester exactly one week later on the 1st of July.
The Norwich game will be shown on the BBC, with the Leicester clash expected to be aired on Sky Sports – dodging between channels seems to be a common theme in this list of provided fixtures.
Either way, this is another step towards these games coming back and Everton fans will surely be starting to get excited with nearly two weeks to go.
