Negotiations ongoing as Everton & Liverpool await confirmation on venue – report
Everton and Liverpool remain in negotiations with the relevant authorities to determine where the Merseyside derby will be held, according to the Liverpool Echo.
According to the report, the council are still awaiting guidelines on new regulations from the Ground Safety Advisory Group before making a decision on Goodison Park.
It is suggested that a meeting is planned for Monday as it stands, with the Merseyside derby set to place on Sunday 21st of June.
It is hoped that Goodison Park will be the venue used for the clash, with it set to be confirmed after the meeting on Monday.
The Mirror released a report on how matchdays would look in the behind-closed-doors fixtures, with 300 people set to be present.
Those include broadcasting staff alongside players, staff, directors and medical representatives if and when needed.
Carlo Ancelotti and his squad will want all of that sorted so they can crack on with matters on the pitch.
Should Manchester City lose against Arsenal, it gives Liverpool the chance to win the title at Goodison and Everton the perfect opportunity to halt that success – need any more motivation? We thought not.
