Michael Ball claims Everton must sell forgotten trio who are ‘not good enough’

Michael Ball has claimed that Everton must sell Sandro Ramirez, Yannick Bolasie and Muhamed Besic in the summer.

The former Toffees defender believes that the three players, all currently out on loan, aren’t good enough to make it at Goodison Park next season.

Everton are moving forward under Carlo Ancelotti, and the harsh reality is that it will be without those three players.

Ball claimed that those three players have to admit it themselves as well, and look to move on for the sakes of their career.

“I remember at Manchester City when the money came in, they had to own up and say their squad players were not good enough,” he wrote in his Liverpool Echo column.

“It is a similar situation for Sandro Ramirez, Yannick Bolasie and Muhamed Besic at Everton. They have had an opportunity to be here but have been sent on loan for a reason: they’re not good enough to play in our starting XI.

“We’re moving forward as a club and unfortunately, they are not going to be part of that.”

Ball is spot on. Everton are moving into a different era under Ancelotti, and it certainly doesn’t involve some of these players that are discussed.

Take Bolasie and Sandro for example, Everton have plenty of options moving forward such as Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Alex Iwobi and Bernard just to name a few.

Bolasie certainly needs to leave. The African winger has had loan spells at Aston Villa and Sporting and has failed to impress – definitely not enough to prove his future.

It’s time for a clearout, and it begins with these three fringe players.
