‘Sit down and talk’ – Richarlison hints at Everton exit in near-future, gives Goodison timescale

Everton forward Richarlison has hinted that he could leave Goodison Park in the near future despite his close relationship with Carlo Ancelotti.

The Brazilian has been the standout performer in the Premier League for the Toffees ever since arriving from Watford a couple of years ago.

This season was no different, with the 23-year-old scoring 13 goals despite not playing as a central striker consistently.

Richarlison admitted that he could maybe stay at Goodison Park for one more year, although if a proposal came in, he would discuss it with another club.

“I evolved a lot here at Everton – now with Ancelotti, I will grow more,” he said, via the Gwladys Street.

“He asked me to hold on a little, but it all depends, if a good proposal arrives we sit down and talk. But I think I can hold on for another season.”

This would be the worst-case scenario for all Everton fans. It appears that the only thing that could keep him at the club is challenging for silverware.

That hasn’t happened in years, and if there was ever a time to back Ancelotti in the transfer market, it is now.

If the Everton board can give the Italian major funding in the summer, he could bring in some big names that could push the Toffees closer to silverware.

That would in turn, potentially prove to Richarlison that Goodison Park is the right place for him and somewhere that he can achieve goals.

The 23-year-old averages the most shots on goal and completed dribbles per game at the club, and it would be near-impossible to replace him, something Everton must make sure they won’t have to do.
