Everton plot £15million move for player wanted by Manchester Utd in January – report
Everton are plotting a move for relegated Bournemouth striker Josh King in the summer, according to the Sun.
The Toffees are looking to improve in the final third under Carlo Ancelotti, and King has been identified as a viable target.
The 28-year-old is ready to leave the Vitality Stadium after the Cherries were relegated, despite beating Everton 3-1 on the final day.
So, what will it take for Everton to bring in the Norweigian? According to the reports, the Toffees are ready to try their luck with a £15million offer.
King was wanted by his former side Manchester United in January, but that move was blocked by his current club.
Bournemouth wanted to keep King on the South coast as they looked to survive the drop – something that didn’t materialise.
King would considerably strengthen the Everton front line, with question marks surrounding the future of Richarlison in Merseyside.
The Brazilian commented on his urge to win silverware in his career and even admitted that if any serious offers came in, he would sit down and listen to them.
Richarlison did admit that he will be spending one more year at Goodison Park, and if he leaves, King could be a very suitable replacement.
The Norwegian international was involved in 10 goals in his 26 appearances, impressive for a side that was in that relegation battle for half of the season.
