‘Unbelievable’ – Everton talent details help from Cristiano Ronaldo in early spells of career
Everton forward Moise Kean has spoken about the influence that former Juventus teammate Cristiano Ronaldo has had on his career.
The Italian youngster arrived at Goodison Park as one of the highly-rated forwards in Europe but has yet to live up to that name as of yet.
One of the strongest memories of his first season in Merseyside was when he was taken off by Duncan Ferguson minutes after being brought on against Manchester United.
Kean was asked who the best player he has lined up was, and his namedrop of Ronaldo highlights just how good he could be.
“Cristiano Ronaldo,” he told the official club website.
“Everyone knows how he is an unbelievable player – he is the best – but you also have to look at the person, and he is a good person. He helped me so much when I was at Juve.”
That was who he has played with, but Kean has also come up against some exceptional names when playing at Juventus.
Playing against the likes of Neymar and Angel Di Maria, Kean has grown up in and amongst the best, and surely that can only benefit him.
Kean got another goal in the 3-1 defeat against Bournemouth on the final day, and that will have done his confidence the world of good going into next season.
Carlo Ancelotti’s arrival midway through the campaign will have also helped Kean, and that could be critical for his development moving on past this season.
If we can get to see anything near to the same ability of Ronaldo, we will all be delighted with Kean and call his move a masterclass – time will tell.
