Moise Kean speaks out about Everton loan exit
Everton striker Moise Kean has said he isn’t upset about leaving English football after signing for PSG on loan.
The 20-year-old forward left Merseyside for Paris on deadline day, as he joined the French champions on loan.
Kean has spoken about how he has been ‘moved’ by Everton fans and also how he hopes to learn during his loan spell.
Speaking to RaiSport Kean said: “I am not particularly upset to have left English football, even if the banner from the Everton fans really moved me, as I wasn’t expecting it,
“It’s true, I could’ve returned to Juve, but I made this decision along with my family to play in Ligue 1. I’ve been to Paris before and have relatives here.
“I hope to learn a great deal from this fantastic experience. I am young, I like to work closely with top strikers, so I can learn from their experience and their style of football.”
Kean has only started one game for Everton this season, against Salford City in the Carabao Cup. He scored in that game and the next game in that competition against Fleetwood Town.
Kean appeared off the bench in the Toffees’ first two games of the season, but the Italian has found his opportunities limited following the excellent form of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
He joined with a big reputation when he arrived from Juventus last summer but he only managed two Premier League goals in 29 appearances in a disappointing debut season in England.
It would seem Carlo Ancelotti isn’t a fan of the 20-year-old, opting instead to have Dominic Calvert-Lewin lead his line this season. The faith Ancelotti has shown in the England striker has paid off as Calvert-Lewin has notched 10 goals in seven competitive appearances this season, including his debut England goal against Wales.
It will be interesting to see how Kean develops at PSG, as he is still young and has bags of potential. Perhaps a year in France could help the Italian find his best form.
