Moise Kean’s father wants loaned-out Everton player to return to Italy
Everton forward Moise Kean’s father has spoken of his desire for his son to return to Italy and says that he is ‘convinced’ he will return to his home country.
The 20-year-old is currently on loan at French side PSG after failing to convince Carlo Ancelotti he is worth keeping in the Everton squad.
Now, Kean’s father, Biorou Jean, has spoken to calcioinpillole.com and claimed that Kean will return to Italy ‘sooner or later’.
He said, “What I want is for my son to return to play in Italy as soon as possible. Here he grew up, here he became what he is now and it is right for him to return to his country.
“Even though I know it’s not over here, I am convinced that sooner or later we will see him again in our championship.”
The Italian international did make four appearances for the Toffees this season, scoring two goals in two Carabao Cup outings and being used as a substitute in Premier League games against Tottenham and West Brom.
But clearly, Ancelotti was not impressed with his fellow countryman and allowed him to leave in the final days of the summer transfer window.
Kean has made two appearances in the colours of PSG, most recently coming on at half-time in their 2-1 Champions League defeat to Manchester United. He is yet to open his account for the Paris-based side and will want to have a shorter wait for his first PSG goal after waiting 18 Premier League games for his first Toffees goal.
Everton haven’t struggled without the Italian, sitting at the top of the Premier League after five games. Kean’s fellow striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in stellar form scoring seven in those five top-flight outings, which suggests Kean wouldn’t be getting into the Everton side ahead of him.
In other Everton news, James Rodriguez will miss his side’s clash with Southampton.
