‘Mistake waiting to happen’ – Some Everton fans slam Yerry Mina display v Fulham
Some Everton fans heavily criticised Yerry Mina as their side got back to winning ways with a 3-2 victory over Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
In the first half, Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored either side of Bobby Decordova-Reid’s equaliser then Abdoulaye Doucoure added a third for Everton before half time.
In the second half, Fulham missed a penalty before Mina deflected a strike past Jordan Pickford to let Fulham back into the game.
Mina had a very poor afternoon and he did nothing to prevent Fulham’s first-half equaliser and the blame for the Cottager’s second lies at his door.
It was a half-hearted attempt at a block from the Colombian and Pickford couldn’t do anything about it as the ball looped into his net.
He is very lucky that Everton hung on to claim all three points otherwise Mina could be blamed for elongating the Toffees’ winless streak.
Mina has to do so much better if he is to keep his place in the Everton team after several underwhelming performances in recent weeks.
Perhaps he needs a break from football after featuring for his country over the international break but there can be no excuses for the poor performance the Colombian turned in on Sunday afternoon.
Some Toffees blasted Mina on Twitter with several pinpointing the Colombian as the weak point in Everton’s team while others questioned why he was even playing.
Here is how some Everton fans reacted to Mina’s performance.

Mina will have to prove his worth in training this week if he is to keep his place in Ancelotti’s side for next weekend’s game against Leeds.
Ancelotti will not stand for consistent poor performances so don’t be surprised to see him dropped next week.
In other Everton news, Kevin Campbell believes that Marcel Brands will sign a new deal with the Toffees.
