‘Shocking’, ‘Dud’ – These Everton fans critical of Doucoure after display v Leeds

Plenty of Everton fans were critical of Abdoulaye Doucoure’s performance against Leeds United at Goodison Park on Saturday.

A second-half Raphinha goal sealed the win for the Whites and prevented the Toffees from moving into the top four.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have now lost four of their last five league fixtures and sit five points adrift of the league leaders Liverpool.

Everton had the chances to score on Saturday, but Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were guilty of not converting presentable chances when they arrived.

Doucoure, in particular, received plenty of criticism from Everton supporters for his performance, with the former Watford man too often wasteful on the ball.

According to WhoScored, the 27-year-old was dispossessed twice, failed to complete a dribble and completed just 37 passes. As per InfoGol, he missed the Toffees best chance of the game, a 48% chance, after seven minutes.

He did scores his first goal for the club against Fulham though and was generally impressive, completing three tackles and six interceptions (via WhoScored).

In response to his showing, fans said that Doucoure has been out of form for a while another claimed that he was a waste of money.
