View: Ancelotti to go strong – Predicted Everton XI v Man Utd
Everton are in Carabao Cup action on Wednesday night up against Manchester United, with both sides vying for a spot in the semi-finals of the competition.
Ahead of the game, Carlo Ancelotti has already vowed to go with a strong XI, with the Toffees having a serious shot at some silverware under the Italian this season.
Elsewhere, Manchester City and Brentford have already booked their spots in the semi-finals following their victories against Arsenal and Newcastle respectively.
Ancelotti has some tough decisions to make as he looks to juggle the League Cup with a relentless Premier League fixture list.
With the Toffees unbeaten in their last four, the manager may only look to make minimal changes.
In goal, Ancelotti confirmed that either Jordan Pickford or Robin Olsen could start – but whoever did not feature would come in for the Sheffield United game.
We think Pickford could start as Everton look to name a strong team.
At the back, it could be a great opportunity to bring Seamus Coleman into the team and get some minutes under his belt.
Elsewhere, the defence that has conceded once in their last three otherwise remains the same.
Despite his mixed performance against Arsenal, Tom Davies could remain in the team, while Abdoulaye Doucoure and Andre Gomes make up the midfield three.
Everton’s front three very much picks itself at the moment. Alex Iwobi is enjoying a great run of form for the Toffees, while Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are two of the first names on the teamsheet when fit.
