Everton linked Bailey has clubs ‘on alert’ after management switch – report
Bayer Leverkusen winger and reported Everton target Leon Bailey has teamed up with English management company Unique Sports Management, according to The Daily Mail.
This move could boost the Toffees’ chances of signing the attacker after The Daily Mail recently reported that Everton scouts had been watching the Leverkusen man this season.
The Hertfordshire-based company already has high profile players like Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Reece James on their books.
With several Premier League clubs interested in signing Bailey, this move could indicate that the 23-year-old wants to move to the Engllish top flight in the near future.
The Daily Mail claim that several Premier League clubs are now ‘on alert’ after Bailey switched management.
Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal are also reportedly interested in Bailey’s services so the Toffees could face a bidding war if the winger is indeed looking for a move.
Bailey has been in fantastic form this season and the 23-year-old now has nine goals and seven assists in 18 competitive appearances this term.
The fact that clubs like Man United and Arsenal are interested in Bailey doesn’t mean that the Toffees are at a disadvantage in their pursuit.
We have seen the pull of Carlo Ancelotti and his project lure the likes of James Rodriguez and Allan to Goodison Park.
These are players who could get in most sides in world football and yet they chose Everton.
The same thing could happen with Bailey as the club further looks to establish itself as a force once again.
Signing such a sought after player would be another statement of intent by the Toffees and it isn’t too hard to envision the club making a move for the talented attacker.
If the Toffees need more depth anywhere it’s on the wings as the club will never progress with Alex Iwobi starting Premier League games when key men are injured.
