View: Richarlison returns in strong line-up – Predicted Everton starting XI v West Ham

Everton will be hoping to return to Premier League action on Friday night as they welcome West Ham United to Goodison Park.

The Toffees were handed an unexpected rest when their meeting with Manchester City was called off at the last minute.

Following the COVID-19 outbreak, the decision was made to suspend the game despite Everton confirming that they were ready to play.

Confusion still lingers around the call, as the club continue to seek clarity on how the decision was made.

However, attention now turns to West Ham and the team that we think Carlo Ancelotti might name to face the Hammers.

If you can take any positives from the Manchester City situation, it is the fact that the players got a small unexpected, but well-needed break.

This should reflect in the team that we see line up against the Hammers, which we think will be a strong one.

Jordan Pickford should remain in goal after keeping a clean sheet against Sheffield United last time out.

The back four is unchanged, with Seamus Coleman missing out on this occasion.

He may have come into the side to face Man City, but considering the Toffee’s form, we think Ancelotti will look to minimise changes now.

Tom Davies, who had the best pass success rate of any Everton player against Sheffield United, has impressed in Allan’s absence and deservedly keeps his place at the base of midfield alongside Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Ancelotti has confirmed ahead of the game that Richarlison is available once again, so we can expect to see the Brazilian back in a strong starting XI.

He joins Gylfi Sigurdsson and Alex Iwobi behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with Ancelotti revealing he now has no immediate plans to rest the club’s star striker.
