Romano: Everton have been offered the chance to sign Anderson
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Everton have been offered the chance to sign West Ham winger Felipe Anderson.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Romano responded to a supporter and confirmed that the Brazilian was ‘not a priority’ for the Toffees, but has been offered to the club.
Currently out on loan at FC Porto, Anderson is poised to return to the London Stadium this month after falling out of favour.
TEAMtalk reported earlier this month that he has endured a turbulent relationship with Porto boss Sergio Conceicao, while there were also concerns over the player’s attitude during his time at West Ham.
One to avoid for Everton
Anderson has hardly been pulling up any trees in Portugal and it is telling that Porto are so happy to send him back to London early.
He has been used sparingly for Porto this season, making just four appearances across all competitions for the Portuguese giants.
During those games, just 40 per cent of his dribbles have been successful, according to Wyscout.
Anderson has also been unable to register a single accurate cross in Portugal and an xG of just 0.02 leaves a lot to be desired from the Brazilian.
In total, just 63.5 per cent of Anderson’s total actions while playing for Porto have been successful, in what has been six months to forget for the former Lazio man.
His form in Portugual has been completely uninspiring and it comes as no surprise to see that the winger is ‘not a priority’ for Everton this month.
