Leeds could be missing three key players for Everton clash – Sky Sports
Leeds United could be without three key players for Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Everton at Elland Road.
The Blues travel to Yorkshire looking to get back to winning ways following a disappointing week in which they drew to Leicester and lost to Newcastle.
Sky Sports claim that the Whites could be missing Patrick Bamford, Raphinha and Rodrigo which would be a considerable blow to Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
They claim that Rodrigo is expected to miss Wednesday’s clash after being subbed off in the first half of the Whites’ 3-1 win over Leicester at the weekend.
Sky Sports also state that Raphinha and Bamford will be assessed ahead of the game as they struggle with a thigh issue and a dead leg respectively.
If these three players are all missing on Wednesday then it would make our defence’s job considerably easier.
We struggled to contain a poor Newcastle side at the weekend so we could do with all the help we can get as we look to get back to winning ways.
Bamford especially looked back to his best at the weekend as he picked up a goal and two assists against a team that we struggled to breakdown just days beforehand.
Our defence has been more shakey than usual in recent games and a trip to Elland Road isn’t likely to give our defenders much of a break.
We all know how relentless Leeds can be when they are in the mood as they are just as good at attacking as they are at conceding goals.
We will have to be at our best to get a positive result on Wednesday but this injury update no doubt gives Everton a small boost.
