‘There is nobody better’ – Mourinho hails Ancelotti ahead of Everton v Spurs
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has provided a ringing endorsement of Carlo Ancelotti ahead of his side’s FA Cup clash against Everton.
Spurs travel to Goodison Park on Wednesday night where an in-form Blues side will look to progress to the next round of the FA Cup.
Both sides have a decent chance of ending their respective trophy droughts with an FA Cup win and Mourinho has claimed that Ancelotti is the right man to bring success back to Everton.
Mourinho is quoted by The Mirror as saying, “Carlo is Carlo. He doesn’t go to a club to spend some time or to have some fun.
“He goes to a club to try to be Carlo. A winner. He is one of the best managers in the world and just by arriving he brings to the club that ambition.
“With Carlo and with patience and with time and with continuous development of the team, there is nobody better than Carlo to give a trophy to Everton.”
Mourinho isn’t the only one who thinks that The Professor is the man best suited to bringing the glory days back to Goodison.
We do too.
Look at the strides we have taken in the past 13 months under the Italian.
We’re challenging for a top-four spot this season rather than mid-table obscurity, there is a very real chance that we will be playing Champions League football next season.
However, the true mark of success is silverware and even though we were dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Manchester United earlier this season we have a great chance to end our drought this year.
Spurs are in fairly poor form and they are already in the one cup final so there is a decent chance that Mourinho will send out a weakened side on Wednesday.
We should do the opposite and go all out, a win is worth a place in the last eight and from there, anyone can win it.
