Fabrizio Romano: Everton could demand up to £60.6m for Kean

Sky Sports Italy’s transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Everton could look to demand up to £60.6million (€70m) for Moise Kean this summer from interested clubs.

The Italian striker joined Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan last summer after falling down the pecking order at Goodison Park, having only scored twice in his first season in the Premier League.

This season however the 20-year old has been in fine form, having scored 16 goals in all competitions for the French champions.

Speculating about what could come of the Italy international’s future beyond the current season, Romano stated on his podcast that Everton would likely demand major money if they were to sanction a sale of Kean this summer. He said: “I’m 100 per cent sure that Everton will fight for Kean, or receive €60 or €70million or keep the player.

“Ancelotti is a big fan of Moise Kean. In my opinion, they are planning for him as the star for next season.”

Win-win scenario for the Blues

Everton couldn’t have hoped for a better outcome to their Moise Kean situation when they let the player leave temporarily in the summer.

Marcel Brands did extraordinarily well to land the talented former Juventus man in 2019, but his performances last season left much to be desired.

Now that Kean has seemingly hit a purple patch, the Blues should either receive a stronger and more experienced player to bolster their squad, or they’ll make a considerable profit on a shrewd investment.

Of course, it depends on the will of the player, as well as which clubs decide that he’s worth spending mega-money on, but we could be in a really strong position to profit following the expiry of Kean’s loan.

Honestly either way would suit the club superbly, so let’s hope Kean can keep his performances up and continue developing his game.
