‘I was disappointed’, ‘Much needed’ – Everton Super Fans assess move to Bramley-Moore Dock

Everton have finally had plans approved for the proposed new stadium that will be built on Liverpool’s Bramley-Moore Dock.

This is a huge step in the development of the club as it allows Farhad Moshiri to grow the brand of Everton Football Club in a brand new state of the art location.

Of course, saying hello to the future comes with saying goodbye to the past and there is no doubt that leaving Goodison Park will be tough for many.

It is the home of Everton and for many, it will remain the spiritual home of the club long after we have moved to Bramley-Moore Dock.

Some fans are happy about the move as it will allow the club to grow and ultimately, it will prove to be the right move from the club.

Others are more reserved and would like to see Moshiri renovate Goodison Park as opposed to building an entirely new stadium somewhere else.

Our panel of Everton Super Fans told us how they feel about the new stadium.

The decision to leave Goodison was always going to be a hard one but we believe it is in the best interests of the club to find a new home.

If we are to push for Europe on a regular basis we need to have a stadium that can attract top players and potentially more importantly, top sponsors.

At the end of the day, this move is a business decision and if Moshiri thinks he can make more money for himself and Everton through this move then it is a no brainer.

We’ll all miss Goodison but it is a poor stadium compared to our European rivals this season and if we are to make a statement of intent, building a brand new stadium is the way to do it.
