Report: PSG want to keep Everton forward Kean ‘at all costs’
Paris Saint-Germain want to keep Everton loanee Moise Kean ‘at all costs’ this summer, according to a report from Il Bianco Nero.
The Italian striker joined the Parisian giants on a season-long loan at the beginning of the season, having fallen down the pecking order at Goodison Park.
Since making the move to the Parc des Princes however, Kean has been in electric form for the French champions, having scored 17 times in all competitions [Transfermarkt].
Now Mauricio Pochettino’s side are keen to sign the 21-year old forward to a long-term contract in the French capital.
That is according to Il Bianco Nero, who report that PSG director Leonardo is working with Everton to find a solution.
Il Bianco Nero also claim that Juventus remain interested, which could see Everton profit even more if a bidding war is sparked.
Sky Sports Italy’s transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported recently that Everton would likely demand up to £60.6million (€70m) for Kean this summer.
Everton can’t lose
The more and more we hear updates on Moise Kean’s long-term situation, the more it seems as though Everton can only emerge from the situation as the winning party.
Kean has grown immensely this season with his goalscoring record serving as evidence for that, meaning that we will definitely see a better and more confident player return to Finch Farm this summer.
If he goes on to star for the club next season then Everton will obviously benefit, but if he wishes to leave it is safe to assume the Blues will make an impressive profit on him.
Should either PSG or Juventus firm up interest and make an offer, we’ll be able to put those funds to good use in strengthening the depth of the current squad.
Everton could well have European football to contend with next season, and those additional funds would go a long way in bringing the right calibre to Goodison Park to help the club succeed.
In other Everton news, Roberto Martinez has labelled his former employer a ‘very special’ club.
