‘Terrific’, ‘Hella unlucky’ – Everton Super Fans pick Everton MOTM v Chelsea
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.

Everton’s nine-game unbeaten away record came to an end on Monday night as the Blues went down 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
An own goal from Ben Godfrey and a Jorginho penalty handed the home side the points as Everton never really got out of first gear.
Our side was riddled with injuries but we still had quality players who could hurt Chelsea which is why our surrender was so disappointing.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison never really had a sniff as Kai Havertz caused our backline plenty of problems all evening.
He won the penalty after Jordan Pickford failed to take the ball and brought down the German international inside the box.
Aside from this, Pickford had a solid evening and he kept the scoreline respectable which is why some of our Super Fans picked him as their man of the match.
Here is who our panel of Everton Super Fans picked as their man of the match from Monday’s game against Chelsea.

Pickford getting better and better…
This is the third game in recent weeks where Pickford has been heavily praised by fans and pundits.
He was unbelievable at Anfield and The Hawthorns as he helped us secure important wins with some big saves.
The only blemish on his record from Monday’s game was his poor decision that led to a penalty being awarded.
If he had saved the penalty it would’ve been the perfect performance though we can’t blame him for not keeping out the prolific Jorginho.
Hopefully Pickford keeps this form up for the rest of the season as he could play a huge role in where we finish in the Premier League.
