Everton’s interest in Adrien Rabiot could lead to Moise Kean heading the opposite direction

Everton are interested in Adrien Rabiot and that could lead Juventus to strike up a swap deal for Moise Kean, report Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The outlet suggests there is considerable attention being paid to Rabiot, but the Toffees have been long-term admirers [Sport Mediaset].

Everton are prepared to pay £26.5million according to France Football [via GFFN], and Juvenuts’ interest in Moise Kean likely gives Everton an added advantage.

Kean has impressed at PSG with 11 league goals this term, having fallen out of favour at Everton – starting just six league games in 2019/20 – after joining from Juventus.

Finding the right deal

We feel that a swap deal would be doing Juventus a favour and therefore we should approach this deal with caution.

Rabiot is reportedly earning £149,000 a week [Sport Bible] and with a transfer fee on top would represent a considerable outlay for us.

We already have a number of players in central midfield and Rabiot’s arrival could hinder the development of Tom Davies, who has progressed well this year.

Also, Rabiot has not always been first-choice at Juventus so they could be keen to cash in, particularly if it means luring Kean back to Turin.

We paid £29m [The Guardian] for the striker in 2019 and should be looking for an offer equal to or higher than that fee.

After all, he is playing very well at PSG and even proved he can perform at the highest level with a goal against Barcelona in the Champions League last month.

Kean could still have a role to play at Goodison, therefore, and failing that there is a good opportunity to cash in on him.

As a result, we would only be happy with a swap deal that leads to Rabiot’s arrival as well as several million pounds on top.
