Matt Maher shares when Everton clash v Villa could take place
The Premier League clash between Everton and Aston Villa is set to be rearranged to be played in March, according to Matt Maher.
The reliable journalist has claimed that it could be a busy finish to the season for both clubs, who are yet to go against each other in this campaign.
Everton welcome Villa to Goodison Park on the first day of May, and could complete the reverse fixture in the same month.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Maher claimed that the Toffees could be set for a doubleheader against Villa towards the end of the campaign.
“Aston Villa v Everton, postponed from January, still awaiting a date after the Premier League’s latest scheduling announcement,” he said.
“Increasingly likely it will be played in May, the same month Villa are also due to visit Goodison. Busy finish.”
When could it take place?
There are only four games to complete after the first clash with Villa, meaning that the two clubs could be set to play each other twice in the same week.
Dean Smith’s men were also big challengers for European football, but a recent blip has seen them slip five points behind the Toffees.
With a midweek game against Sheffield United in the middle of May, the trip will either be played in the first week of the month or before the final clash of the season against Manchester City.
Strap in for a busy month, these two fixtures could have a huge say on where we finish this season; bring it on.
