Lewis Jones predicts Everton clash v Crystal Palace
Lewis Jones has backed Everton to pick up another win on Monday evening as they take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The Sky Sports pundit has predicted that Carlo Ancelotti’s men will take home all three points in a convincing 2-0 victory at Goodison Park.
Richarlison has been backed as a safe option to find the back of the net and continue his goalscoring form in Merseyside in the past month.
Writing in his Sky Sports predictions column, Jones believes that this is the perfect opportunity for the Toffees to pick up another three points.
“Any team facing Palace right now will be putting a ring around that fixture in the calendar to go all-out for the points.
“This looks a fantastic opportunity for Everton to improve a wretched home record. Goodison Park has been the location for six of their last seven defeats in all competitions.
“I do feel Richarlison’s goal threat is being underrated by the betting markets. The Brazilian has scored four of Everton’s last six goals from his more advanced central role and has found the net in his last two appearances against Palace.”
Perfect.
This would be the best possible way to return from the international break in which many of our players have been away.
Having lost three games on the bounce in the Premier League and the FA Cup, Ancelotti will be desperate for his side to return to form.
After a shocking run of results, Palace turned around their form before the international break and only lost one of their previous five fixtures.
Three of those were at Selhurst Park, though, and in their last away clash with Spurs they conceded four, something which Everton will be wanting.
We need three points and as Jones mentions, this could be the perfect chance.
