Confirmed Everton starting XI v Crystal Palace

Everton have made four changes to their starting XI for the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Monday evening.

Carlo Ancelotti has decided to bring back the likes of James Rodriguez into the squad with the Colombian international issuing a rallying call recently.

Confirmed on their Twitter account prior to kick-off, the Toffees have dropped the likes of Allan and Ben Godfrey, with the latter featuring for England under-21s over the break.

The international break has given the chance to offer big rests to some of the squad.

Jean-Phillipe Gbamin has recovered from his long-term injuries, and it is brilliant to see him available once again before the Premier League season comes to an end.

With only nine games to come this season after this clash, it is vital that we start to string some results together after three straight defeats in all competitions.

Perfect opportunity.

It has been a brilliant weekend for us before even stepping onto the pitch at Goodison Park this evening against the Eagles.

Chelsea somehow lost to West Brom at home, and Spurs weren’t much better when they could only draw against Newcastle yesterday afternoon.

Those results leave Ancelotti’s men three points behind Spurs in fifth, but their goal difference means a win won’t likely move us further forward.

With a game-in-hand in the bank over Spurs and Liverpool, this could certainly set us up nicely to stake our claim for European qualification this season.
