Tottenham sack Jose Mourinho with Everton draw the final straw

Drawing 2-2 with Everton has appeared to have been the final straw for Tottenham with them reportedly sacking Jose Mourinho.

According to the Telegraph, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has become increasingly frustrated with how the second half of the season has gone in North London.

Mourinho’s final game as Spurs manager will go down as the 2-2 draw at Goodison Park on Friday night with Gylfi Sigurdsson struck twice to earn the Toffees a great point.

Hands off Carlo

We’re not sure who Spurs are going to go after at this stage but let’s just say this now and get it out of the way – they better keep their hands of Carlo Ancelotti.

He’s a top manager with a brilliant CV. He’s also helped make Everton a far better team than the one he took charge of.

Ancelotti is one of the biggest managerial names in the world of football and we feel as though he’s bound to get linked with the imminent vacancy at Tottenham.

We’ve got no cause to be concerned, really. But Spurs are bound to have a look.

As for Mourinho, this was coming.

He has a star-studded squad and one of the best centre-forwards in the world yet has ultimately failed at doing a better job than Mauricio Pochettino.

Why on earth did they sack the manager who led them to the Champions League final?

Spurs are also one of the ‘founding members’ of the controversial European Super League so we wish them absolutely no success at all and hope they suffer a huge meltdown as a result of their awful decisions.
