Besiktas would be willing to sell Everton target Larin this summer

Besiktas would be willing to sell reported Everton target Cyle Larin for the right price this summer, according to a new report from Turkey.

The Canadian forward has earned admirers across Europe through his performances for the Black Eagles this season, scoring 19 goals and assisting four in all competitions.

Turkish outlet Fotomac reported earlier this month that both Everton and West Ham were keen on a move for the 26-year old, who returned from a loan spell with Zulte-Waregem last summer.

Now Fotomac report that Besiktas would be willing to sell the forward when the transfer window opens, with the Super Lig side believing he has doubled in valuation.

Previously it was believed that Larin could fetch around £3.45million (€4million) from interested parties, however Besiktas now value him at £7.7million (€9million).

Fotomac don’t specifically reiterate Everton’s interest, but with the Toffees previously considering a move the club could be buoyed by the low prospective fee.

Worth the gamble

Despite Carlo Ancelotti suggesting otherwise, Everton could very well need to sign a forward when the transfer window opens this summer.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been forced to shoulder much of the goalscoring burden this summer and he’ll need help next season if the Blues are to mount a charge once again on the top four.

Josh King will see his contract with the club expire this summer with no talks over an extension seemingly on the horizon, while Moise Kean’s successful loan spell with Paris Saint-Germain certainly suggests that it would be difficult for him to return to Goodison Park.

If Everton are to sign a forward to support and challenge Calvert-Lewin, Larin could be the perfect gamble for the club, especially considering how low Besiktas’ asking price is.

Described as an ‘outstanding predator‘ by Canada manager John Herdman last month, the forward has been in exemplary form this season and he could relish the opportunity to impress in the Premier League.

Everton could do much worse than Larin, and should certainly consider making an offer.
