Duncan Ferguson sends hilarious warning message to Everton fan
Duncan Ferguson has sent a brilliant and hilarious message to one Everton fan who is slacking off in school.
And in typical Big Dunc fashion, his 45 second-long video contained a lovely mix of aggression and humour.
The Scot did end the warning with a nice reward for the schoolboy in question – a chance to meet the man himself, as long as he gets good results.
Duncan Ferguson said, “Hi young Tom, you alright son, it’s Duncan Ferguson here, I just wanted to wish you all the best, pal.
“Your teacher, old Tom, has told me you’ve been slacking off a bit in your photography, is that right?
“We cannae be having that, mate. You better get your finger out and make sure that you get the results, and if you get the results right and you stick in, I’ll come and see you.
“I’ll take you for a bit of lunch or I’ll come to your house or something. We’ll sit down and have a wee chat.”
Big Dunc charm
It appears Ferguson has not lost his steel and if he shows that attitude in the dressing room you can be sure the players take on every one of his instructions.
He is a real character and it is great to have a figure like him on the coaching staff.
Ferguson is a totally different personality to Carlo Ancelotti and that may be why the Italian has kept the former striker close by his side.
Although the message can be read as a threat, there was definitely a hint of comedy about it.
That is why Ferguson is so effective, and he is likely adored by his players because he is a coach who can let his guard down and have a joke with his squad.
The impact he made as caretaker manager last year shows how much respect he has amongst the players, and that can only be a good thing for the club.
