Everton want Adrien Rabiot & Merih Demiral from Juventus for Moise Kean
Carlo Ancelotti is ready to sanction a player-plus-cash deal which would see Moise Kean leave Everton to return to Juventus in the summer, according to Claudio Raimondi.
The Italian journalist told Mediaset’s Pressing that Adrien Rabiot could be included in the swap deal, as well as Juve splashing out £43.3million to re-sign Kean, who’s currently on fire on loan at Paris Saint-Germain.
CalcioMercato have shared what Raimondi reported on their website and it is also understood that while Ancelotti would be pleased with that deal, Everton also want defender Merih Demiral included in the swap.
However, Juventus are not reportedly keen on losing Demiral as they see him as an important player in the present and in the future.
Two players and cash for Kean?
Every summer we see reports about possible swap deals but it’s very rare that they come off.
A lot has to happen for two players to both agree contracts with each other’s clubs, as well as both clubs agreeing on valuations. Oh, and there are agents too.
It’s a lot of work and one disagreement means that everything can crumble.
We really don’t see Everton being able to sign both Rabiot and Demiral while also getting cash for Kean.
However a player-plus-cash deal involving Kean and Rabiot should work.
Rabiot, 26, has started 20 of Juventus’ 32 Serie A matches this season so while he’s definitely in their first-team plans, he’s hardly a key player and in that case, is likely to be expendable.
The France international has played for top clubs in Europe like Juve and PSG so he would certainly fit in with the direction Ancelotti is trying to take Everton.
Demiral, 23, doesn’t have the experience Rabiot has but a young, up-and-coming centre-back is surely someone we’d like to see at Goodison Park. He’s played just 14 times in Serie A this season due to injuries and being down the pecking order but it’s obvious Juve see his potential.
We want both players, in truth. But we also want Kean to come back to Goodison and play as he has done at PSG.
Unfortunately, all three things happening seem pretty impossible. We expect Kean to leave and Rabiot might come in but who knows?
