Confirmed Everton starting XI and team news v West Ham

Everton have made three changes to their starting XI for their Premier League clash against West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

Carlo Ancelotti has welcomed back Michael Keane and Yerry Mina into defence, with the duo having both sat out last weekend’s game against Aston Villa.

Confirmed on their official Twitter account prior to kick-off, the Toffees have also recalled Tom Davies to the starting line-up, while Abdoulaye Doucoure returns from injury and is named on the bench.

Ancelotti was always likely to tweak his team ahead of facing the Hammers after the disappointing result against Aston Villa last week.

The Blues underperformed against Dean Smith’s men and their subsequent loss put their hopes of qualifying for Europe in jeopardy ahead of a tough final five games.

Mason Holgate’s individual mistake proved costly in the first half against the Villans, and Ancelotti has responded by dropping him to the bench.

Ancelotti will be well aware of the importance of this clash with Everton’s season hanging in the balance.

Should the Blues slip up once again their chances of qualifying for Europe could be all but over, and that could negatively impact how the club navigate the summer transfer window.

West Ham have impressed over the past few months and it could be difficult for Everton to find a path to victory, but they must ensure that they give the maximum effort to ensure that the club have every chance of qualifying come the end of the campaign.
