Everton in advanced talks to sell Moise Kean to Paris Saint-Germain
Everton are in advanced talks to sell Moise Kean to Paris Saint-Germain with the forward showing fine form while on loan in France this season, according to CalcioMercato.
The Italian news outlet claims that Juventus had also wanted to sign the 21-year-old but their interest is fading with the striker telling his agent Mina Raiola he wants to stay at PSG.
Kean joined PSG on a season-long loan last summer and he’s since scored 17 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions.
Everton reportedly want £43.1million for the youngster but it is understood they could accept an offer worth £38.7million.
CalcioMercato adds that Kean’s deal at PSG could be worth £48,000-a-week and three-years long.
Good business
It seems as though Everton could be making a decent profit on Kean if they sell him to PSG so this will have to go down as good business by the club.
While we would have all liked to have seen more from Kean in Everton colours, it just hasn’t worked out for him on Merseyside and it’s best to take advantage of his high value now rather than let it drop again.
If he stays at Goodison Park for next season then he’s not going to play as much as he has done at PSG this term and it also seems as though he’d be unhappy to stay.
He’s done really well in Paris and we wish him the best for the future.
As for the deal, if we get over £38million for Kean, that would rank him as the third-highest value player that Everton has ever sold behind Romelu Lukaku and John Stones.
For someone who’s made just 37 appearances for the Toffees and, as a striker, scored just four goals, that has to go down as a clever move.
We won’t be singing Marcel Brands’ name from the rooftops for it but an agreement with PSG is the best option for everyone.
In other Everton news, the Toffees want two players in a mega-money swap deal and Ancelotti is ready to give the green light.
