Michael Ball: Everton will look to sign five players this summer, Moise Kean must be sold
Michael Ball has suggested that Everton will look to sign four of five players in the upcoming summer window.
The Toffees crashed to a disappointing 10th-placed finish in the Premier League, despite European football being a big possibility.
Ball insisted that players will need to be sold first, with Moise Kean the one name who could bring in the big money needed.
Speaking to the Transfer Tavern, Ball has shared what will need to be done at Goodison Park to improve the squad desperately.
“They know they’re going to have to bring in maybe four or five players,” he said.
“And with the financial situation, they know they have to sell players and a lot of players are probably not going to demand the fee, nowhere near [the fee], they’ll be asking for Moise Kean.”
Big plans.
There are so many areas within this squad that need improving.
Ancelotti has been playing with only three superb attackers and has no squad depth in the final third, that will need to change.
Robin Olsen looks likely to return as a backup to Jordan Pickford, then we will need to look at strengthening our midfield, and potentially even at right-back.
Max Aarons has been linked consistently, and although that may not happen due to Norwich’s promotion, a new defender should be brought in.
Ancelotti needs more depth in his squad, this season certainly proved that, and we hope that will help us make that jump back into Europe.
