Everton Super Fans react to anti-Benitez banners at Goodison Park
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Goodison News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.

There’s been a mixed reaction to anti-Rafa Benitez banners that have been hung up at Goodison Park amid reports the ex-Liverpool boss is close to being appointed in charge of Everton.
Last week, images surfaced on social media to show banners saying “Benitez not welcome” and another more abusive image we aren’t willing to show on this website.
TalkSPORT had reported that the Blues were on the verge of appointing Benitez as their next manager but there has been a huge backlash from Evertonians, which could be holding the deal up.

We asked our panel of Everton Super Fans to discuss the banners that were hung at Goodison.
While some feel as though it was warranted to get a message across to the board, another has accused Liverpool fans of doing it and another has called it “disgraceful”.
Here is what they had to say:

Whether you think Benitez should be manager or not and whether you think the board need to change their decision, those banners are – as one fan says – a disgrace.
Benitez, at the end of the day, is an out-of-work manager who lives in Merseyside and has been offered the chance to manage one of the biggest clubs in the country.
Why are you mad at him for accepting the job?
Liverpool fans are the ones who should be mad at Benitez if he does end up saying yes to the Toffees. Our fans should be angry at the board.
Why write vile personal insults aimed at someone for something they haven’t even done yet?
It’s wrong and totally out of order.
In other Everton news, Jamie O’Hara has urged the club to hire this boyhood Blues manager over Benitez.
