Alan Myers: Everton will announce Rafa Benitez on Monday or Tuesday

Everton are set to announce Rafa Benitez as their new manager on Monday or Tuesday, according to Alan Myers.

The managerial merry-go-round is finally set to come to an end at Goodison Park, with the Spaniard set to complete his move.

Sky Sports shared on Saturday that Benitez has finally ironed out his terms, and is set to agree to them this weekend.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Myers started responding to plenty of different Toffees fans’ questions.

One asked when exactly Benitez would be announced, and he responded with a more definitive answer than we have seen before.

“I believe Monday or Tuesday,” he wrote.

Finally.

Well then, whether you like it or not, it appears as though Benitez will be the next man tasked with bringing success back.

It has been far too long since our last piece of silverware and European football, something that would be perfect right now.

With the new stadium and club project settling in, we need someone capable of getting in touch with that and delivering on the pitch.

There is no doubting that Benitez has won it all, and hopefully, it will be no different at Goodison Park.

Should he deliver in that sense, it will be funny to see the reaction of those that are hating these updates, will they become massive fans?

Time will tell, and yes it may be controversial, but we have got to give Rafa time to do his job, and then judge him once that spell comes to an end.

Good luck.
