Three anti-Rafa Benitez banners spotted hung outside Goodison Park by Everton fans
Three more banners professing disdain for the impending appointment of Rafa Benitez at Everton have been spotted outside Goodison Park on Monday evening.
There was online fury earlier in the day [28/06/21] as a banner seemingly outside the Spaniard’s house was shared on Twitter, with the words ‘We know where you live, don’t sign’ plastered on a bedsheet.
Now there looks to be more banners surfacing, with Everton fan ‘Sk1878efc’ on Twitter capturing two outside Goodison Park on Monday evening.
These banners read ‘Not wanted, not welcome’ and ‘Sign him, lose us (local fans)’.
There was a further one captured on Twitter, but with some profanities expressed within the statement.
It read ‘No means no Mosh[iri], [expletive] Rafa, Kopites are gob [expletive]’.

Outrage
Firstly, it should be reminded that these fans are just a handful out of a huge fanbase, and not everyone agrees with these sentiments, or how they are being expressed.
The one captured outside Benitez’s house (if it was indeed his house), were utterly disgraceful and shameful. It was a despicable act to attempt to threaten a man who has done so much for the city of Liverpool.
That was out of order and unacceptable. These ones at Goodison aren’t quite so, and we don’t take too much umbrage with them.
Of course, one could argue about the profanities in the last one, but the messages on those three banners were not outrightly menacing, and just wanted to outline a strong feeling.
It’s not a pretty sight to see at Goodison, but fans want to make their voices heard, as the club clearly are not listening to them.
Some supporters have grown to accept the club’s decision, which looks to be that Benitez will be Carlo Ancelotti’s successor at Everton, and will begrudgingly look forward to the upcoming season.
Others are refusing to take it lying down, and will likely continue their campaign against his appointment until it is officially confirmed.
It remains to be seen whether Blues owner Farhad Moshiri will have a late change of heart, but it appears unlikely, and it looks like people will have to get used to the sight of Benitez in the coming months.
