Benitez verbally agrees three-year contract with Everton
Rafa Benitez has “verbally agreed” a three-year contract to become the new manager of Everton, according to The Telegraph.
The newspaper reports that the 61-year-old is currently in the process of finalising his backroom staff for his return to Merseyside, 11 years after leaving rivals Liverpool.
It is understood that despite the awful banners that have appeared at Goodison Park, and one allegedly near Benitez’s house, the Spaniard is still set to replace Carlo Ancelotti as the Toffees boss for next season.

Sticking to their guns
You have to give Farhad Moshiri a bit of credit here.
He is adamant that Benitez is the best choice to be Everton’s new manager and he has stuck to his guns despite the outrage that it’s caused among sections of the fanbase.
Some of the banners we have seen hung up by so-called Evertonians are a disgrace.
That one that was supposed to be near his home – near his family – is absolutely shocking and we hope the police find who did it and punish them.
Some people forget what football actually is – a sport. Does it ever warrant threatening messages like that? Does Benitez really deserve this kind of hatred aimed at him for simply applying for a job and all but getting it?
If you want to vent your anger, you do so at the board, not the man who’ll be tasked with leading our players in the Premier League next season.
We’ve seen banners saying that Benitez isn’t welcome at Goodison Park.
But those who have written some of the disgusting messages aimed at the Spaniard are the ones who are not welcome.
You are a disgrace and have brought shame one the best fanbase in the country.
