Kevin Campbell shuts down reported Arsenal move for Everton ace Jonjoe Kenny
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell has shut down bizarre rumours linking Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny with a move to Arsenal.
The Daily Mail recently reported that the Gunners are plotting a swoop for the right-back after his loan spell at Celtic last season.
Campbell believes the new manager, believed to be Rafa Benitez, will judge Kenny before any decision is made on his future.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “Look, I just think the new manager has to come in and have a look.
“Jonjoe Kenny has played in England, Scotland and Germany, at Arsenal, I just can’t see that, but strange things happen.
“If he’s not going to cut it at Everton, I can’t see him going to Arsenal.”

Bizarre.
It has been a strange couple of years for Kenny.
After making some encouraging appearances with the first team, he was almost made surplus-to-requirements and shipped out on loan numerous times.
The young right-back would surely have been happy offering competition to Seamus Coleman in the Premier League, a player who is known for injuries.
Instead, his chances have disappeared, something that could change under Benitez should he be appointed this week.
Kenny will be hoping for another chance, or if not, he could be fishing for that move to the Emirates Stadium.
