Rafa Benitez undergoing Everton media duties at Finch Farm
Rafa Benitez is currently at Finch Farm ahead of Everton announcing him as their new manager, according to Sky Sports journalist Nick Grounds.
Sky Sports had earlier on Wednesday shown footage of Benitez, 61, arriving at the Blues’ training ground in a black-out people carrier.
Grounds, writing on his personal Twitter account at 1:13pm says that Benitez is currently “carrying out in-house media duties for the club’s website” ahead of the announcement.
As Grounds says, whether you like it or loathe it, it’s happening.
It’s time to buckle up and prepare for a bumpy ride because we don’t expect the reaction to the social media posts to be a very positive one.
While there are plenty of Evertonians who are willing to welcome the former Liverpool boss to the blue side of Stanley Park, there are a very loud bunch who do not.
We’ve lost count of how many people have hung up bedsheets to protest against Benitez’s arrival as manager – with some people taking it too far with personal abuse and one that appeared to be very threatening towards him.

Benitez is a good manager though.
Almost everywhere he’s gone in his career he’s won silverware or done a great job.
While some fans will point to his time at Newcastle and unsuccessful spell in China as other reasons as to why the Blues shouldn’t hire him, all we’d do is point you to what he won earlier in his career.
He’s done it before – he can do it again.
