Alan Myers: Everton have arranged no press conference for Rafa Benitez

Everton announced the appointment of Rafa Benitez on Wednesday evening as the next chapter of the club begun.

The Spaniard completed his media obligations at Finch Farm, but it was short and sweet as he started his reign.

Usually, there will be a press conference for the media and fans to get a look at their new appointment, but there has been nothing sorted yet.

Fans have started questioning whether there will be a press conference this week, especially given the hostility around the club with the fans.

Alan Myers has been close to the club throughout this journey and shared whether there will be a press conference on his personal Twitter account.

“Nothing arranged yet,” he wrote.

Nothing.

So, it looks as though we won’t get that chance to listen to the questions we want answering by Benitez.

This is one of our most controversial appointments ever, and it would be interesting to see how the Spaniard has reacted to everything this week.

It hasn’t been an easy week for everyone involved, and the banners being left around Merseyside may have been taken into consideration before things such as a press conference.

Once things settle down in the next fortnight, we may get our new man in front of the media, and we may have a few signings over the line in that time.

Myers will be on the button when the club decides to arrange this press conference, and hopefully, there will be some news soon for us all.

The Premier League is nearly only one month away, so it may need to happen quickly for Benitez.
