Everton striker Moise Kean is set to spend next season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain again after making it clear he doesn’t want a Goodison Park return.
According to the Mirror, the Toffees were hoping to sell the Italy international for around £40million this summer following his impressive spell at Parc des Princes last season.
However, PSG only want a loan move, and French journalist Saber Desfarges has reported that Everton have given in to their demands and sanctioned a loan move.
We asked our esteemed panel of Everton Super Fans over on Facebook what they think of another loan move when the club badly need to sell the want-away Kean.
One reckons agreeing to another loan move could mean that Toffees director of football Marcel Brands is not as good in negotiations as thought, while the majority felt the club should have just sold him or kept him.
Here is what they said:
Everton needed to make a stand on Kean, but it appears that has not happened. Given our need of transfer funds this summer, a permanent deal makes sense.
PSG are clearly playing smart here as they would not hesitate to let him go if he fails to impress again next season.
On the other hand, we could stand to gain a lot if he does and probably demand more money than the reported £40million.
It could swing both ways, and we hope the Italian does well again.
Brands and former manager Carlo Ancelotti sanctioned the move for the highly-rated striker in the summer of 2019, and that decision has not done us any good.
New Everton boss Rafa Benitez needs another number 9 for next campaign as cover and competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and the club now have to provide funds for one with Kean not willing to play for us again.
Hopefully, Brands will make better transfer decisions going forward as this one did not turn out as we all hoped.
