Journo shares ‘Talk in Colombia’ about James Rodriguez situation at Everton

James Rodriguez will not be hanging around at Everton after Rafa Benitez’s appointment, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

Writing via his personal Twitter account on Friday morning, Brown reported that there is “already talk in Colombia and Spain” that the 29-year-old will likely quit Goodison Park as soon as he can.

It is understood that is due to a “long-running feud” between him and Benitez from their time at Real Madrid together.

Brown added in another tweet that “his issue with Rafa was that he wanted to play every game for Real, not swerve some”.

Just get rid of him

Rodriguez had his moments at Everton.

He hit the ground running after his arrival and was clearly happy playing for Carlo Ancelotti at Goodison.

However, it all started to go a bit sour towards the end of the campaign as he struggled to stay fit, played poorly and annoyed fans with that infamous image of him on a private jet.

Everton

While we totally believe he’s a very good player and one of the best at what he does in the world – we don’t want him.

Why? Well, there are too many players at Everton who just do not seem to care and he’s one of them.

While Brown doesn’t want to point out Rodriguez’s flaws, we do and we haven’t enjoyed what we’ve seen from the Colombia international.

He seems like a disruptive influence and if like is going to be harder for Benitez if he’s at the club then he should go as soon as possible.

In other Everton news, Jordan Pickford has shared what was said to him when Benitez called him this week.
