Alan Myers: Everton not keen on another loan deal for Moise Kean
Everton are not interested in sending Italian striker Moise Kean out on loan next season, according to Alan Myers.
The 21-year-old spent last season at Paris Saint-Germain and is keen on returning to the French side for the new season [Mirror].
However, as Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recently revealed, PSG only want him on another season-long deal, and the Toffees are not keen.
Myers shared the update on his personal Twitter account.
An Everton fan, JayWillo, asked why Kean is yet to return to Finch Farm for pre-season training, and the Sky Sports new editor answered.
Pay up PSG
Kean scored 17 goals in all competitions for the French giants last season, and they should be willing to pay for his permanent services if they value him.
Everton need transfer funds this summer and are apparently willing to cash in on the Italy international as opposed to loaning him out.
Given his credible return in front of goal last term, the Toffees man is not likely to be short of suitors in the coming weeks, and we agree with the club’s decision not to send him out temporarily again.
Manager Rafa Benitez could be keen to retain his services as Dominic Calvert-Lewin really needs a capable cover, but we do not see that happening.
However, it cannot be completely ruled out given the club’s current stance.
Kean could find himself in an uncomfortable situation in the coming weeks, but we hope both parties can reach a resolution as there is no need to hold on to a player that clearly wants out.
Benitez will most likely have the final say in all these, and it will be interesting to see what his decision is.
