Four Everton players in isolation as Rafa Benitez meets squad

Four Everton players were stuck in isolation as Rafa Benitez finally met the squad for first-team training.

The Liverpool Echo has reported that Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Moise Kean and Bernard were missing at Finch Farm.

All players were given work to complete at home as they look to build their fitness for the Premier League season next month.

The four players couldn’t be in any more different situations if they tried.

Allan and Doucoure are expected to play huge roles in midfield under Benitez, after arriving last season as marquee signings.

Bernard and Kean, on the other hand, are likely to jump ship and leave, with there being little chance of a u-turn in that situation.

They are expected to return to the group in a phased manner in the coming days, and it may be their final chance to impress.

Goodbye.

We would definitely be shocked if Kean returned to Finch Farm, it looks as though it is the final place he would want to be.

After his spell at Paris Saint-Germain, the French club is keen on his signature, but it won’t be happening on loan again.

Rudy Galetti reported this week that permanent talks are underway, and a deal could be concluded soon for over £40million.

Duncan Ferguson famously fell out with Kean during his short spell in charge a couple of years ago, we all remember when he was brought on and replaced at Old Trafford.

Benitez will have been leaning on Big Dunc for the insight on the squad, and Kean won’t have received a glowing recommendation.

Expect movement soon.
