Moise Kean reacts to Italy winning European Championship on Instagram

Everton striker Moise Kean missed out on Italy’s 26-man European Championship squad.

While the 21-year-old made Roberto Mancini’s 33-man supplementary list, he was not included in the final list and had to watch from home as the Azzurri won the Euros.

Nevertheless, the Toffees forward is happy for his international teammates after they pipped England to the trophy during last night’s final at Wembley.

Kean took to his personal Instagram account to post:

World Cup next

Kean spent last season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain, scoring 17 goals across all competitions for the French giants.

However, that impressive return was not enough to earn him a place on the plane to Euro 2020, and he has to do much more in 2021-22 if he wants to be at the World Cup.

It is not exactly clear whether Mancini dropped the Toffees forward due to footballing or attitudinal reasons, but we believe that the youngster has a lot of work to do on both fronts.

Kean would have been gutted to miss out on the Euros winners’ medal.

With Everton open to letting him go if the right offer is tabled, his valuation would have slightly increased had he been part of the winning squad.

He has to make the right choices in the coming months if he wants to play at the World Cup, and his choice of next club would have a huge say on that.

Kean has a chance of impressing manager Rafa Benitez and playing regularly next season if he opts to remain at Goodison Park, and we reckon moving to a star-studded squad could hinder his playing opportunities.

The ball is his court and we can only hope he does what is right for the sake of his international career.
