Marcus Bent: Aaron Ramsey won’t turn down a move to Everton
Marcus Bent has claimed that people at Everton are aware of big clubs being interested in signing Aaron Ramsey.
The Juventus midfielder has emerged as a transfer target for the Toffees this summer and they have even touched base with the player’s representatives last month. [Il Bianconero]
Ramsey is on a reported £6.8million annual wage package at the Juventus Stadium and he’s now proving to be a rather expensive hindrance for the Italian side. [Tuttosport]

Bent has been blown away by the Welshman and thinks he’ll be a good fit for Everton.
Speaking to Football Fancast, “I think what comes with Ramsey is his maturity and his experience.
“He’s been on the world stage for a long time now, talented footballer, goalscorer, and to have that in the midfield at Everton would be key.
“But speaking to Everton, they know that there’s going to be big clubs in for him, he’s going to be tagged around, whether that will be the top-four, I’m not sure. I don’t think he would turn Everton down.”
Is he worth it?
Ramsey’s wages ended up being a huge problem at Juventus and he could settle for a slight reduction at Everton, but would still be one of our top earners, if not the highest one.

He would come to Goodison Park as an injury-prone 30-year-old and we’re not sure how he would fit in to Rafa Benitez’s system.
We would rather the club sign younger players with a relatively better injury record as a lot of times in the past few years, injuries have led to the team’s downfall.
The 30-year-old may be talented but he’s equally inconsistent and we can’t afford to have these kinds of players at the club, especially on such high wages.
The Italian game would suit him better, but the Premier League is a completely different ball game and having spent some time away from it, Ramsey could struggle to find his feet back in the English top flight.
