Report: Everton table bid for Pierluigi Gollini, Atalanta want £17m
Everton have tabled an offer for Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, according to a report in Calciomercato.
Fellow Premier League sides Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur have also made moves for the Italian goalkeeper who has been previously capped for his national side.
It’s understood that the Serie A outfit are looking for a fee in the region of £17million if they are to part ways with the 26-year-old.

Per Gianluca Di Marzio last month, Atalanta wanted to sign Juan Musso and his arrival would force Gollini to look for another club.
Since then, that transfer has gone through and now the Italian goalkeeper will look for a team that can give him regular first-team football.
Won’t replace Pickford
Gathering from what reports in the Italian press are telling us, Gollini is looking to be first choice at his next club after Atalanta signed Musso to replace him.
If Everton have bid for him, there’s no guarantee that he would prefer to join us as he is going to be second choice at Goodison Park as well.
Jordan Pickford is on the back of a good end to last season and an impressive Euro 2020 where he won the Golden Gloves for keeping the most clean sheets.

He’s also become fundamental to our style of football and is adept with the ball at his feet.
Gollini is a decent goalkeeper and would be a good backup option for us, but we’re unsure whether he would be open to the idea of moving to Merseyside only to play second-fiddle to Pickford.
Also, Atalanta are demanding £17million which is a tad steep for someone who’s only going to play the cup games for us.
Instead, we must go for a younger and cheaper option who’ll be content sitting on the bench.
